Microbial Oil

Microbial oil, also known as single cell oil, is generally extracted from some yeast, molds, microalgae and bacteria, which utilize carbohydrate, hydrocarbon and/or ordinary grease as carbon sources and produce oil and/or lipids with commercial value. Due to its higher degree of unsaturation than animal and vegetable oil, microbial oil is even more qualified as the source of biodiesel.
