Tomato Transcriptome RNA-seq Sequence Release PLEASE READ BEFORE ACCESSING THE PRE-PUBLICATION RNA-seq reads of S. lycopersicum and S. pennellii The research groups of Julin Maloof and Neelima Sinha at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) are pleased to provide to the Solanaceae and broader plant biology communities short-read mRNA-seq data from the S. pennellii and S. lycopericum (M82) tomato species transcriptomes. The sequence was generated using Illumina/Solexa sequencing technology with 80bp paired-end reads. Reads have been filtered to remove adapter contamination. For S. lycopersicum M82 the data consists of 49,034,507 read pairs and 4,128,299 single ends; for S. pennellii there are 54,543,422 read pairs and 3,994,958 single ends. The data are provided freely for both public and private use, but with the understanding that users will respect the rights of UC Davis to describe these transcriptomes in a peer-reviewed publication. This description includes genome level and comparative analyses on genes, splicing and gene structure, gene families, gene expression, SNP diversity, etc. We encourage users to review NIH-NHGRI guidelines on distribution and use of pre-publication genome sequence at http://www.genome.gov/page.cfm?pageID=10506537. Any use of the S. lycopersicum and S. pennellii transcriptome sequence prior to its publication should credit "J. M. Jiménez-Gómez, S. Kimura, D. P. Koenig, R. Kumar, N. R. Sinha, and J. N.
