Tomato Transcriptome RNA-seq Sequence Release PLEASE READ BEFORE ACCESSING THE PRE-PUBLICATION RNA-seq reads of S. lycopersicum cultivar M82 The research group of Zachary B. Lippman at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) are pleased to provide to the Solanaceae and broader plant biology communities short-read mRNA-seq data from meristems of S. lycopericum (cultivar M82). The sequence was generated using Illumina sequencing technology with 50bp paired-end reads.  The data consists of 569743048 read pairs, and are provided freely for both public and private use, but with the understanding that users will respect the rights of CSHL to describe these transcriptomes in a peer-reviewed publication. This description includes genome level and comparative analyses on genes, splicing and gene structure, gene families, gene expression, SNP diversity, etc. We encourage users to review NIH-NHGRI guidelines on distribution and use of pre-publication genome sequence at http://www.genome.gov/page.cfm?pageID=10506537. Any use of the S. lycopersicum transcriptome sequence prior to its publication should credit "SJ Park, Ke Jiang, M. Schatz and Z.B. Lippman at CSHL". Please contact Zach Lippman (E-mail: lippman@cshl.edu) with any questions.
