SP:0000067 'fruit shape ellipsoid'
|Term name||fruit shape ellipsoid|
|Term definition||Fitting precision R2. How well the boundary of a perfect ellipse fits the boundary of a fruit. The ratio of the error resulting from a best-fit ellipse to the area of the fruit. Error is the average magnitude of residuals (Res) along the fruit perimeter, divided by the length of the major (longer) axis of the ellipse. Smaller values indicate that the fruit is more ellipsoid.|
